Winnie C. Ellerman
Associate Attorney

About Winnie

Winnie Ellerman joined Ellerman Strand in January 2026 as an Associate Attorney. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, graduating with distinction and concentrating in Trial & Appellate Advocacy and International Law.

During law school, Winnie received multiple honors for advocacy and legal writing, including top placements in moot court competitions and CALI Awards for excellence in Legal Writing, The Legal Profession, and Transnational Litigation. Winnie also worked with the California Department of Transportation, where she conducted legal research and drafting on matters including eminent domain, government liability, discovery, and motions. She also previously served as a Student Law Clerk with the California Victims Legal Resource Center, supporting victims’ rights advocacy and conducting legislative research related to California law and public policy.

Before and during law school, Winnie worked at Stanford University School of Medicine’s Division of Nephrology. As an Administrative Manager, she oversaw faculty and staff operations, personnel actions, budgeting, compliance, and facilities management to support the division's academic, research, and patient care missions. Her work required navigating high-level institutional policies, coordinating across departments, and managing sensitive operational and personnel matters in a fast-paced environment.

Before pursuing law, Winnie served as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Namibia, where she taught mathematics and science and developed administrative systems to improve school operations and reporting. Across her professional and volunteer experiences, Winnie has found a love for advocacy, collaboration, and client-centered service.

After living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area and abroad for most of her professional life, Winnie is thrilled to be back home in El Dorado County working alongside her mother, Jana. Outside of work, Winnie is a piano teacher, and she loves quilting, singing, traveling, and spending time with her husband and family.
